The first day for cycling the Great Ocean Road in Australia. Starting from Geelong ( get there by train, from Melbourne), pass through the small towns Torquay, Anglesea then arrived in Lorne. Found a free camping site in Great Otway National Park.
Geelong is the second big city in Victoria state, by area after Melbourne which lies in the southeast with a 90km distance. It will cost one hour to take the Vline train from Melbourne to Geelong. The ticket is cheap as well, just 7.2 AUS Dollars.
The Geelong Station is an old house built in 1877. It replaced the old staion built in 1875. Its a Victorian style architecture and some parts were decorated with Gothic and Classic elements, such as the cast iron columns.
Christ Church Geelong is the oldest Anglican Church in Victoria, Australia, in continuous use on its original site. The parish pre-dates the Diocese of Melbourne and was founded on 7 October 1843, when the Bishop of Australia, William Grant Broughton, laid the foundation stone at the northeast corner of the present nave. The church was opened and dedicated on 27 June 1847, and the enlarged church was consecrated on 25 October 1859. The church is the only one in Victoria designed by the colonial architect Edmund Blacket. It was enlarged in 1855 by the addition of the transepts and sanctuary.
Christ Church has been given an A Classification by the National Trust and is listed on the Register of the National Estate. (From Wikipedia)
I cycled south through the Murry river. It looks like Yarra river in Melbourne, especially the sights along the river. There are few people because it is a Tuesday.
